At Longwood Gardens, the nursery crew is seen using a hydraulic tree spade to move a Paulownia tree to a new location.

Moving the trees serves two purposes—"root-pruning," to encourage growth of fibrous roots, and "relocating," for better access when it comes time to transplant them to Logan Square.

The tree is carried to a new spot. |

The Paulownia is now replanted and ready for new growth. |
