GreenPlan Philadelphia has announced an exciting new initiative, a $175,000 fund for improving green spaces in parks and recreation centers. The funds are provided by the City of Philadelphia and administered through a partnership with PHS’ Philadelphia Green program.
 The purpose of the grant fund is to implement GreenPlan Philadelphia recommendations through projects that improve neighborhood green spaces, incentivize stewardship activities, create partnerships, and promote sustainability.
The funds will be used for landscape and
site improvements in parks and recreation centers. Project support awards will range from $15,000 to $75,000.
Philadelphia Green is pleased to invite you to apply for a grant. An information meeting regarding the grant will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Planning Commission Meeting Room on the 18th floor of the City’s One Parkway Building located on the northeast corner of 16th and Arch Streets. We recommend that a representative of your group attend this meeting.
