What is the Kids Grow Expo? The Kids Grow Expo is a horticultural exhibition by and for school-age children in the greater Philadelphia region. Produced by The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the Expo creates
an awareness of horticulture and the natural environment.
The Kids Grow Expo is a free event that allows youngsters to celebrate Earth Day with a number activities and exhibits related to environmental awareness. There are educational exhibits, service-learning projects and competitive classes for children to enter (as part of the Junior Flower Show).
Each spring, the Kids Grow Expo brings the kids out of their classrooms to enjoy 90+ exhibitors, all of whom share information about Earth Day and other educational activities.
The Junior Flower Show receives numerous entries in the artistic and horticultural classes. Presentation boards are entered detailing classroom projects related to the show theme. Ribbons are awarded to Best of Show winners on the Main Stage.
A number of activity stations offer educational opportunities. If only some of the kids’ energy could be recycled too.
