 | | Tuesday, May 12, 2009 | 10:00am - 1:00pm Botanical Illustration: Portraits of Logan Square with Colored Pencil Presented by Eileen Rosen Open to the public and members
Join us at Logan Square in Center City Philadelphia, the crown jewel of the Paris-influenced Benjamin Franklin Parkway, which was recently renovated by Philadelphia Green and partners, for a springtime plein air botanical illustration workshop with Eileen Rosen. Instruction will include how to eliminate extraneous details, sketch a simple working drawing, and slowly build up and blend layers of vibrant color to create a charming, miniature portrait of the site.
A supplies list will be sent with your confirmation. We will meet promptly at 9:30 at the McLean Library at PHS and walk to Logan Square at 10 am. Limit: 12.
Eileen Rosen has taught botanical drawing at the University of the Arts, New York Botanical Garden, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Rio Bravo Research Station in Belize, Central America.
