Chanticleer Walk/Demonstration: Cold Frames and Other Season Extenders

Now is the time to expand your knowledge of vegetable gardening and extend the season itself! Join Doug Croft for a walk through Chanticleer’s Vegetable and Cut Flower gardens and learn how Chanticleer uses its cold frames to extend the season, from early harvest of cool-season vegetables and annual cut flowers for spring arrangements to harvesting fall crops after the first frost.
Doug will also cover how to build a cold frame, from the rudimentary bales of hay and an old window to the more elaborate ones at Chanticleer. Limit: 25.
