Lehigh Valley Evening Lecture: Vines and Climbers for the Garden

PHS and HPS/MAG are collaborating again to present a lecture of horticultural and design interest to our members and friends in the Lehigh Valley.
As you collect ideas for this year’s garden, join us for 'Reaching Out,' an illustrated lecture on vines and climbers, which add vertical interest and alter the visual perception of space and size in the garden. Jeff Jabco, Director of Grounds at Swarthmore College and Coordinator of Horticulture at Scott Arboretum, will explore hardy and tender plants that climb from a horticultural as well as a design perspective––their culture, care, and uses in the overall landscape. Jeff will discuss exciting plant combinations, non-traditional uses of climbers, and plants that are effective hosts for climbers.
