 | | Wednesday, April 1, 2009 | 10:00am - Noon Meadowbrook Farm Demonstration: Alpine and Rock Gardening Basics Presented by Bernard Pettit Open to the public and members
Do you have a spot off your patio, at your door or on a sunny or shady slope that cries out for a niche garden? Meadowbrook Farm alpine and rock gardening expert, Bernard Pettit, will show you how to create this special garden type from the ground up. Sun or shade, you can do it once you learn the basic form and function that alpine plants require to stay alive and thrive in a well-drained situation. Bernard will also show you how to create a moveable rock garden by demonstrating how to plant an alpine trough. Each participant will receive a starter plant to take home, and many varieties will be available for purchase as well. Limit: 20.
