 | | Thursday, March 26, 2009 | 10:00am - Noon Workshop: Divide and Conquer Presented by John Story Open to the public and members
Some of the best varieties you can plant this spring are right in front of you, just waiting to be increased in number. By propagating your own plants, you can get more plants for your own garden, have some to give away to friends, or share some of your favorites with PHS members at the PHS Plant Dividend at Members’ Day this fall.
Meadowbrook Farm general manager John Story will show different types of root systems and explain which have to be divided, what plants you can layer, and how to propagate both common and unusual perennial plants.
This comprehensive course will turn the apprehension of propagation into a delight of discovery and success. You will have so many new plants you will need to start a new garden! Participants will receive hands-on instruction and propagate plants to take home. Limit 20.
