In the Garden: Koi Harvest at Nisei Koi Farm
Open to the public and members
The majestic and shimmering color and motion of koi brings a whole new level of aesthetic to any garden setting. Our visit to Nisei Koi Farm, home of Quality Koi Company, in nearby Carney’s Point, NJ, will introduce us to the fascinating process of raising and selecting quality koi in the Japanese style for the American market at affordable prices.
We will tour various indoor and outdoor ponds on this 43 acre organic asparagus farm, and learn how these unique fish are raised and selected from the highest quality stock imported from Japan. The highlight of the day will be the harvest of the koi from their summer mud ponds to their designated greenhouses for the winter or shipped to clients from all over the country. Directions will be sent with confirmation.
