 | | Thursday, July 31, 2008 | 6:00pm - 8:00pm Chanticleer Walk: Summer Bulbs, Highlights of the Garden Presented by Jonathan Wright Open to the public and members
Lilies and gladiolus are staples in many summer gardens, but for the adventurous gardener there are many other exciting bulbous plants than can add that extra touch. Why not try a dahlia or an elephant ear to fill those holes left on your perennial border when early spring ephemerals disappear? How about growing an Aztec lily, a pineapple lily, or a lily that climbs up through non-blooming shrubs? These are not your ordinary bulbs! Join Chanticleer horticulturist Jonathan Wright on a walk through the garden with a focus on summer bulbs and how to use them creatively. Limit: 25.
