Finance Committee Report
We are pleased to present the financial results for the year ended June 30, 2007. The first year of our new Strategic Plan produced excellent results. Flower Show attendance, sponsorship, membership, and programs all increased over 2006. Support for programs grew with new and renewed funding from key donors and partners. PHS exceeded fundraising challenges with respect to the President’s Circle and the Annual Fund, and Planned Gifts contributed to the positive results. The financial market’s performance produced favorable appreciation in the investment portfolio, which will help support programs in the future. Many thanks to our members, donors, partners, and friends whose support made 2007 a great year.
